Mrs. Carolyn Ann Smoot Adams peacefully transitioned from life to eternity on Saturday, March 30, 2013. Celebration of life: 11 a.m. Saturday, April 6, at Rising Star Church of God in Christ, 3909 Reed St., Supt. Charles Barrett, host pastor, Supt. F. S. Diggs, eulogist. Burial: Cedar Hill Memorial Park. Visitation: Noon to 8 p.m. Friday at Serenity Funerals & Cremations. The family will receive friends 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Survivors: Loving husband, Pastor Larry Adams Sr.; children, Juan Smoot, Alicia Adams, Chantey Thompson (Augustus) and Larry Adams Jr.; mother, Lee E. Smoot; three brothers; four grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
