On Saturday, March 22, 2014, at the blessed age of 61, Carolyn Carter was called into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. "This is the day the Lord hast made. Let us rejoice, and be glad in it." Psalms 118. She was a woman who lived her remarkable life every day in accord with this scripture. Funeral: Noon Saturday, March 29, in the Jimerson Chapel of Serenity Funerals & Cremations. Wake: 7 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Jimerson Chapel. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, William H. Jones and Margaret Jones Allen; a grandson, Kenneth D. Jones; a sister, Margaret Cooper; and two brothers, Bobby Joe Jones and Arcaster Jones. Survivors: Children, Patricia Howard (Rodney), Bryan Carter (Darlene) and Johnathan Gillaspie; sister, Mozel Davis; brothers, Clyde Jones, Arthur Jones, Jerry Sherfield and Christopher Allen; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives
