FORT WORTH -- My Father's house has many rooms; I go there to prepare a place for you. Catherine Whitehead Sherman, 87, died Thursday, April 7, 2016. Life celebration: 11 a.m. Friday at New Beginnings International Church. Visitation: Noon to 7 p.m. Thursday, followed by a wake until 8:30 p.m., at the funeral home. Survivors: Husband, Leonard Sherman Jr.; children, Stella Crear, Jeanella Cooks, Loette Chancellor (Grady), Minister Gloria Sherman, Michael Sherman and Donna Sayles (Victor); 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
