Cecile Lorraine Johnson

Mrs. Cecile Lorraine Johnson, a retired seamstress for Apartment Furnishings, departed this life Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at a local hospital. Celebration of life: 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, at New Beginning Holiness Church, 1604 E. Bessie St., Pastor Joyce Smith, eulogist. Interment: Skyvue Memorial Gardens. You may visit Ms. Johnson as she lies in solemn repose noon to 8 p.m. Thursday at Serenity Funerals & Cremations and the family will receive friends 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Survivors: Children, Minister Johnson (Debra), MeDeishia Johnson and Jeffery Johnson (Tracy); mother, Madeline D. Birdow; sisters, Delores Talton, Anita Birdow and Pamela Birdow-Elliott (Anthony); 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
