Mrs. Christine Carter, age 74, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, June 27, 2013, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Celebration of life: 11 a.m. Monday, July 15, in the Clarence J. Jimerson Chapel of Serenity Funerals & Cremations. Interment: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. You may visit Mrs. Carter as she rests from her labor noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Survivors: Her loving and devoted husband, Clinton 'Ray' Carter; stepdaughter, Sonia Carter; brothers, Albert (Mary), and Percy Porter (Rauletha); sister, Mary Horne; stepgrandchildren, Devon Jefferson and Saniya Bronw; and a host of in-laws, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
