DAVID EARL JONES was born October 14, 1958 to William Walter Jones and
Fannie Rose Taylor in a hospital in Hillsboro, TX. They lived in Itasca, TX. David
graduated from O.D. Wyatt High School on May 30, 1976, in Fort Worth, TX,
where he lived since early childhood with his mother and stepfather, Fannie Rose
Scott and Ray Scott.
David Earl was known as “Skid Mo” to some and “DJ David D” to others. He was
well known as being one of the greatest DJ’s and for being a great dancer. He was
one of the best “Swing Out” dancers that ever lived. There would be lines of
people waiting for the opportunity to swing out with him. Swing Out was a
beautiful gift; to him it was art and he loved being able to teach other his gift of
dance. David Earl had many friends and was well loved.
He met a beautiful young lady named Debbie Lynn Franklin and he soon made her
his wife on June 26, 1987. They were married 34 wonderful years. Together they
raised three beautiful children. David also had two other sons; they were a
beautiful happy family.
