Obituary

On the 23rd day of June, in the year of nineteen hundred and seventy-four, a

baby girl was born in Fort Worth, Texas to Shirley R. Green and Dwight Conerway,

Sr. they named their “bundle of joy” Ebony Krystal. Her mother later married

Lafayette Dukes, and he was instrumental in raising her as his daughter.

Ebony matriculated through the Fort Worth Independent school District and

was a graduate of Eastern Hills High School. She later attended Le Cordon Blue

Culinary School.

She accepted Christ as her Saviour at an early age, She later became a member

of Victorious Living Christian Fellowship where she served in the choir and praise

dance teams and The Filling Station Church before moving to Waco, Texas.

Ebony joined the United States Army and while there she traveled the world,

including Germany where her daughter, Brittney was born, North Carolina and

Oklahoma. Her hobbies were Cooking & Catering, Watching Western Films and

enjoying All Genres of Music

On Sunday, August 18, 2024, Ebony Krystal Rogers heard the Master say ”Well

Done” and she moved from time into eternity in Temple. Texas. Those who preceded

her in death her step-father, Lafayette Dukes; grandparents, Roy Lee Conerway,

Julia Conerway and Mary Jane Cline and uncle, Michael Cline, Sr.

Those left to cherish her loving memory; children, Brittney Chanel Hankins and

Hayden Christopher Brown; grandchild, Monterrel Ray Hawkins, III.; mother,

Shirley R. Dukes; sibling, Dwight Conerway, Jr.; grandparents, Erma Faye Kelly

and Robert Cline, Jr.; uncles & aunts, Bruce Wayne Green, Edward Lambert and

Janette Cline; niece & nephew, Grace & Micah Conerway and Jeffrey Spradley and

a host of other relatives and friends.
