Obituary

Mrs. Florence Jean Johnson was born November 26,1940 in Moody, Tx to Johnnie Johnson & Madie

Arthur Blaylock.

Florence, a natural leader, accepted Christ at an early age and also earned the prestigious title of

Valedictorian for Slayton High School’s senior class of 1958.

In 1959, Florence married the love of her life, Willie Lee Johnson and to this union seven children were

born.

In 1973, the family relocated from Lubbock, Tx to Fort Worth, Tx, where she worked as a supervisor and
master seamstress at Williamson-Dickies prior to taking employment at Haltom Convalescent Center for

several years until she began enjoying her retirement.

Throughout her life, she wore many hats, but her greatest roles were wife, mother, and grandmother to
her family whom loved her dearly. Florence had a reserved, yet jovial personality. She enjoyed many
things, including sewing, cooking, cleaning, cracking on and playing games with her family, rooting for
her beloved Dallas Cowboys, and DECLINING her family’s phone calls, if they happened to interrupt

game time on her phone.

Florence entered into eternal rest on Friday, February, 11, 2022. She was preceded in death by her
husband, Willie Lee Johnson; daughter, Annette Marie Johnson; Father, Johnnie Johnson; Mother,
Madie Arthur Blaylock, and siblings, Arthur Harris, Florine Powell, Clint Johnson, Fay Ruth Johnson,

Johnnie Johnson Jr., Floyd Dee Johnson.

She leaves to cherish her memories her loving children: W. James Johnson(Margaret), Cary
Johnson(Tammy), Felisia Johnson, Brandy Lenon(Darron Sr.), Shanika Johnson, Misty Johnson; 13

grandchildren; 13 Great-Grandchildren; 8 siblings
