Pastor Helen E. Lewis passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at

6:48am at her home in Tyler, Texas. She was 79 years old. Pastor Helen was licensed

as a Pastor under Bishop Joan Powell, Lovetouch Ministries, where she served over

25 years, as Department Head of the altar workers and the ushers ministries. She

also founded her own women’s ministry and was an inspiration and brought many

young women to the Lord.

Pastor Lewis served by being a caregiver to her grandmother, mother, grandfather,

and uncle. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Horace Lewis, Sr. and

Louise Johnson Mitchell, and two granddaughters,Jewel Helen Johnson and Rosario

Jewel Harney.

Left to mourn and cherish her memories are children, Eddie Johnson, Jr., son; Dr.

Pamela Johnson Phoenix, daughter; Kimberly Johnson Clivens, daughter;

grandchildren, Juan P. Harney, Jr., grandson, Eddie Johnson, III, grandson, Jennifer

Johnson, granddaughter, Jasmine Johnson, granddaughter, Nancy Johnson,

granddaughter, Joshua Clivens, grandson and Amber Clivens, granddaughter; great-

grandchildren, Jacobe Johnson, Jadarius Johnson, Jimarion Ashford, Jcholae

Johnson, Journae Johnson, Rozlyn Harney, Jaijuan Johnson, Jaikee Mobley, Jabari

Mobley, and Nasir Harney, and a host of other cousins and relatives, as well as her

special care providers, Esther Cartwright, Teterica “Polly” Woods and Melanie

Reyes.

Relatives, church members, friends and family are invited to attend the funeral

services at Davis Mortuary Services, Inc., 230 Monroe Street, #2041, Gretna, LA

70053, on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 10:00am. Interment at Providence

Memorial Park and Mausoleum, 8200 Airline Dr, Metairie, LA 70003. Visitation

will be held at ___:00__.m. at the funeral home. The family will not be having
