Obituary

James Arthur Hamilton was born on December 4, 1953, in Fort Worth, Texas to Simon

and Mabel Hamilton.

James attended Dunbar High School in Fort Worth, TX where he played football and

played saxophone in the band.  He graduated with the Class of 1972.  James attended the

University of North Texas and later completed an electronic technician program. He was

employed as a buyer at Gearhart Owen and was also employed at National

Semiconductor.

James attended Sweet Home Baptist Church in Fort Worth, TX throughout his childhood

years where he and his family were active members within the church.  In his adult life,

he united with St. John Baptist Church in Fort Worth, TX.

In 1976, James married Rogena Clayton and to that union was born, Misha and Jami.  He

later was blessed with a third daughter, Robin, who was a true blessing to everyone’s

life.  James was a loving and caring man.  He lived an inspiring life and found true joy in

his family.  He was very proud of his daughters, their accomplishments, and always doted

on them.  James loved them dearly and thoroughly enjoyed spending quality time with

his grandchildren, being called “Paw Paw”, eating a prepared “play meal” with Kynsley,

and posting their latest photos on Facebook.

He loved watching sports, especially football and basketball, and was a diehard Dallas

Cowboys fan.  James loved music, family gatherings, and being a blessing to those

around him.

On September 7, 2022, James departed this life.  He was preceded in death by his

parents; daughter Robin Mcgilveary; sister Elsa Fisher; brother Alvin Hamilton; and

granddaughter Aubrie Harris.  He leaves to cherish his memory, his children: Misha

Turner (Derrick), Jami Harris (Archie); grandchildren: Kynsley Harris, Kyro Harris,

Rhenyhah Anderson, Soraiya Anderson, Navi Anderson, and JáKayne Mcgilveary; and a

host of other family and friends.
