Javon Lynn Sims, 39, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015, in New Orleans, La. Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at Pilgrim Galilee Christian Church, 2801 Pecos St., the Rev. N.E. Braziel host pastor, the Rev. Paul Wells eulogist. Visitation: 2 to 7 p.m. Friday at Serenity Funerals & Cremations. Survivors: Javon will be sorely missed by his son, Javon L. Sims II (Shirly); parents, Cathy Cole and James Sims (Dena); girlfriend, Temple Daunoy; brothers, James Wilson, Jarmone Wilson and Brandel Harper; sister, Kennetra; grandchildren, Javon Sims III and Vonjay Sims; loving grandmothers, Bertha Lee Sims and Constance Wilson; uncle, Arthur A.
