FORT WORTH -- Joey Michael Martinez, 49, left this life for a better life Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015. Service: 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at The Church of Jesus Christ, 711 W. Gambrell St., Elder Jerry Morle officiating. Interment of ashes: Mount Olive Cemetery. Joey was born Jan. 17, 1966, to Elvira and Pete Martinez. He was preceded in death by his father, Pete Sr.; and grandparents, Magdaleno and Conceptcion Ortiz, who were like a mom and dad to him. Survivors: His mother, Elvira Olmos; brothers, Pete Jr. and David; sisters, Brenda Martinez and Diana Flores and dear friend, Delores Gallegos; and a loving host of other family and friends.
