Joyce was born on May 3, 1046 in Fort Worth, Texas to Charlie and Mary Johnson Henderson. She worked as a School Teacher for Everman Independent School District for 30 years. Longtime member of Strangers Rest Baptist Church working in several ministries.

Survivors: mother, Mary M. Page: sisters, Charlene Henderson-Tisdale and husband Dannie, Tamra Henderson-Belton and husband Zackary, Versie Henderson-Harrison and Betty Belton; special friend, Oliver Rogers; nephews and nieces, Arlene Rogers, Terrance Tisdale, Andrea Henderson, Marsaillus Belton, Rodney Tisdale, Stephanie Belton and Ashley Belton and a host of other relatives and friends.
