Leon Parramore

Leon Parramore Jr. transitioned peacefully and quietly on Monday, Oct. 3, 2016. Celebration of life: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, at Christ Cathedral Church, 3201 Purington Ave., Bishop Sherman C. Gee Allen, eulogist. Interment: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: Noon to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, at Serenity Funerals & Cremations. Leon was born in Fort Worth on Aug. 1, 1944, to the parentage of Leon Parramore Sr. and Edna Gillings-Parramore. Survivors: His devoted wife of 36 years, Mrs. Debra Small-Parramore; daughters, Kimberly Parramore, Deione Oaks-Nicholas (Malcolm) and Ashley Parramore; sisters, Barbara (Arthur), Nellie Faye (William); stepsister, Lacy (Vernon); brothers, Norman P. (Darlene), Donald P. (Debra), Carl P. (Audrey) and Thomas Jackson; six adorable grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
