Mae Catherine Bacy was born August 5th, 1954 in Fort Worth, Texas to parents E.J. Bacy Sr. and Mary Bacy. She attended Fort Worth ISD and graduated from Dunbar High School in 1972. Mae accepted Christ at an early age at the Church of Living God P.G.J., and she later joined Highland Hills Baptist Church.
In 1989, she united with the love of her life, Clarence Grigsby, on Valentine’s Day.
She is preceded in death by her parents E.J. Bacy Sr. and Mary Bacy, brothers Leroy Haliburton, Carlton Bacy, Bobby Bacy, and Charles Bacy; sisters Mary P. Jones and Gloria Heath; and daughter, Myisha R. Bacy.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Clarence Grigsby; sons, Rodney Bacy (Roshonda), Michael Perkins (Denaye), Richard Perkins, and Albert Bacy; daughter Arlisa Bacy; step daughters Trina Smith and Latonya Lewis; brother Bishop E.J. Bacy, Jr. (Judy); and sister, Doris Colbert. Along with 17 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 god children, and special friends/family Mother Gracie Brisco, Janie Grimes, Annie Jones, Golder Moore, Sharon Thomas, and Jevette Bacy-Waters.
