Mckinley Jackson

FORT WORTH - McKinley Jackson senior pastor of Samaria Baptist Church. heard the voice of the Lord calling him to his eternal home Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013. The Rev.Jackson passed away at home Tuesday Feb. 26, 2013.

The Rev. Jackson had been pastor of Samaria for the past 33 years. He was a former pastor at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Terrell and two other churches. He was a former Fort Worth city councilman for District 5 and a lifetime NAACP member and held many positions within the local, state and national civic and religious organizations.

Survivors: Those left to cherish his loving memory are his wife, Eddie Ruth Jackson; sons, Ronnie Jackson, Michael Jackson, Jesse Jackson and the Rev. William McKinley Jackson; daughters, Sharon Jackson and Alicia Jackson; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; the Samaria church Family; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
