Reverend Mary Banks passed away to her eternal rest on Saturday, January 8 th at 11:50 pm. She was
born to the late Wyeseener Bland and Virginia Davis Bland on October 6 th , 1927 on Raccourci Island in
West Feliciana Parish, Louisiana. She was a lifelong resident of Louisiana having resided in New Orleans
east. She attended Southern University New Orleans (SUNO) where she received a bachelor's degree in
Social Work and also completed biblical studies at the Baptist Theological Seminary. She is preceded by
her son Bruce Trim. She is remembered by her four children, Joseph Trim (Linda), Harold Trim Sr.
(Diane), Diane Trim, Del Rio Banks, and a plethora of grand and great grandchildren. Revered Mary Ann
Banks lived by the word of God, she embodied the scripture “The Lord is my light and my salvation,
whom shall, I fear. The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid.”
