Survivors: Wife, Gwendolyn Coleman Simmons; children, Nikki McDaniel (Eric), Demetrius (Nicole), Margene (Rachel), Terrance(Tina), Rayland (Trina), Jason Simmons and Soria Lyons (Virgil); sister, Rechetta Greer; 21 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; other family; and friends.
