Rogers Hamilton, 74, fell asleep in the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, Oct. 20, 2014. Mr. Hamilton was a retiree from Generals Motors, where he worked for 31 years as its first African-American electrician. Memorial Celebration: 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 24, in the Tranquility Chapel of Serenity Funerals & Cremations. Left with fond and loving memories are his children, Anthony Johnson, Michael Hamilton, Royalynn Hamilton-Newby, and Nikki Hamilton-Nixon; siblings, Arvis Hamilton, Loyal Hargrove and Lydia Hargrove Smith; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives
