Obituary

Ronnie Wendell Banks was born September 23rd, 1956 in Fort Worth, Texas to Marilyn Higgins and Charles Banks. He was a part of a blended family. He was the eldest of eleven children and let them all know that he was in charge. He was a stellar athlete and basketball star. He was known to all as “Hollywood”. He was also a 1974 graduate of Everman High School.
Ronnie was a “Big truck driver” and drove trucks for Ready Mix, TXI, TXI, and Texas Trail. He retired in 2009 due to his health. He was also at one time a Mary Kay Consultant. He was also a semiprofessional bowler and was known all over Fort Worth for throwing “The Rock” at Berry Bowl, Meadowbrook bowling, and Don Centers. He also played on a Basketball team called “Drake’s Express”.
Ronnie was a family man and married early in his youth to Cecelia Harris and had three daughters: Angela (Shermen), Jessica, and Rhonda. Ronnie is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Sheila Banks, and two step daughters: Kendra (Kevin) and Tatiana. His genealogy includes: 5 children, 10 grandchildren, 26 nieces and nephews, 11 sisters and brothers, and his faithful dog, James MacArthur Douglas Banks AKA “Jim”.
