Gipson, 81, answered the call of her Master, "Come unto me," on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014.Celebration of life: 1 p.m. Thursday at Strangers Rest Baptist Church, 5705 Donnelley St. Visitation: noon to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Serenity Funerals & Cremations, followed by a wake until 8 p.m. Survivors: Children, Diane Harris-Townsend (Charles), Cynthia Stansberry, Alvin Lane, Curtis Lane (Cynthia), Patricia Deyon, Sandra Gipson, Reginald Gipson, Samasica Harris, Selphion Harris and Hehemia Harris; sister, Oriser Woodard; and a host of grandchildren and other relatives.
