Roy Dell Ashford passed away Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014 Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at First Greater New Hope Baptist Church, 3135 Lomita St., Fort Worth. Wake: 8:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, in Clarence Jimerson Chapel of Serenity Funerals & Cremations. Roy was born Sept. 25, 1948, in Fort Worth. Survivors: Wife of 43 years, Elnora Sanders Ashford; son born to this union, Derrick Ashford; son, Roy D. Ashford; grandsons, Kahlil Ashford and Keyshawn Ashford; granddaughter, Ciara Ashford; mother, Bessie Richardson; brothers, Timothy Slums and Kelvin Richardson; sisters, Darlena Richardson and Edna Richardson; and a host of relatives and friends.
