Mrs. Ruby Lee Watson-Young, 88, the Young family matriarch, traveled from earth to glory on Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, surrounded by her family as they sang, 'Lord Keep Me Day By Day.' Celebration of life: 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at New Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, 2600 E. Rosedale Street. The Rev. R.A. Toliver, gracious host pastor, and the Rev. Andre D. Sims, grandson and proclaimer. Burial: Cedar Hill Memorial Park. Visitation: You may visit 'Mama Ruby' as she lies in her 'Ruby Couch' in the Tranquility Chapel of Serenity Funerals & Cremations from noon to 5 p.m. Friday. The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 1000 East Stella St., with a musical celebration. She was a longtime member of Greater St. Luke Baptist and Mount Calvary. Survivors: Daughters, Wanda Davis (Kenneth) and See Ann Phipps; grandchildren, Kenneth, Andre', Justin, Andrew, Hanna, Guy, Ray, Ronald, Rachel, Rhonda, Mac Jr., Bennie and Kimberly; brothers; sisters; a host of other relatives and friends.
