Mrs. Thelma Ruth Mims Carpenter, a retired food service manager for the Fort Worth school district, moved from time to eternity Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at a local care center. Celebration of life: Noon Saturday, March 2, at The Acts Church, 5401 Trentman St., Pastor Darrell Wilson officiating. Interment: Cedar Hill. You may visit Mrs. Carpenter noon to 5 p.m. Friday at Serenity Funerals & Cremations and the family will receive friends 7 to 8 p.m. at Stop Six Church of Christ, 4500 E. Berry St. Survivors: Daughters, Yolanda Walker (Tony) and Penny Williams (Kevin); grandchildren, Brittany, Jeffrey, Jeremi, Jaylon and Brianna; brothers, Clarence (Peggy), James, Charles, Daniel (Anna) and Moss Mims (Ella); sisters, Helen Clemons (James), Brenda Armstead (Ervin) and Renee Johnson (Gregory); and a host of other relatives and friends.
